UK spa & wellness made for switching off.
From peaceful countryside retreats to memorable city spa days, these are the UK wellness experiences I would genuinely consider for a reset.

Start with these UK favourites
Seaham Hall Serenity Spa — County Durham
The first thing I noticed was the beautiful cherry-blossom ceiling display and the sound of water features throughout the spa. The spa itself felt spacious, with a pool in the middle, jet sprays, seating areas and two cold plunges—particularly good if you enjoy contrast therapy.
Aqua Sana Forest Spa, Woburn Forest — Bedfordshire
Aqua Sana Woburn Forest is one of my favourite spas in the UK. Set among the trees at Center Parcs, it feels like a nature-inspired retreat. The thermal experiences were exceptional, with a wide choice of saunas, steam rooms and fire-and-ice experiences.
Aqua Sana Forest Spa, Sherwood Forest — Nottinghamshire
Aqua Sana at Sherwood Forest was such a lovely treat, and one I’d happily go back to. The spa is designed around its woodland setting, and the pool area—with branches and leaves overhead—felt like an escape among the trees.
Milk Wood Spa at Dylan Coastal Resort — Laugharne, Carmarthenshire
Milk Wood Spa is a lovely choice if you’re after a quieter, more intimate coastal spa visit rather than a full day with a huge range of facilities. Its biggest draw is the view. The indoor infinity pool has large windows looking across the estuary, coastline and green hills.
The Spa at Manor House Alsager — Cheshire
The Spa at Manor House Alsager was such a memorable stay and one of my favourite spa experiences in the UK. It isn’t enormous, but it makes wonderful use of its indoor and outdoor spaces, and the thoughtful design gave it a high-end feel.
The Greenhouse Spa at The Elms Hotel & Spa — Abberley, Worcestershire
I visited The Greenhouse Spa a while ago, so the facilities or packages may have changed since then. When I went, it was a beautiful, botanical-inspired spa. Plants were part of the design throughout, including around the pool and jacuzzi area, giving the space a lush greenhouse feel.
Bredon Priory Spa — Worcestershire
Bredon Priory Spa never felt too busy when I visited, and the whole experience felt luxurious. There were plenty of towels and robes available, which was a lovely touch, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Aria Spa at Athelis Club & Spa — Warrington
Aria Spa felt like a bit of a maze at first, in the best way: it’s spread across several levels, with different pools, thermal areas and places to relax as you explore.
The Spa at Breedon Priory — Derbyshire
From the moment I arrived, the team were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The spa felt luxurious and beautifully maintained, yet it never felt overcrowded or rushed. Even though I was filming during my visit, I still left feeling completely relaxed and restored.
